Aleksandar Stankovic set to leave Club Brugge as Inter activates buy‑back
Midfielder Aleksandar Stanković, who helped Club Brugge win the Belgian league title, will depart the Belgian side after Inter Milan exercised the buy‑back clause included in his loan deal. Club Brugge signed the 20‑year‑old from Inter last summer for a fee around €10 million, with the Italian club retaining the right to re‑sign him for €23‑25 million. Stanković said goodbye to the Brugge supporters on Wednesday and confirmed he will return to Inter, where the club plans to give him a significant role, continuing the legacy of his father, former Inter star Dejan.
Reports indicated interest from several English clubs, including a bid from Brentford, but Stanković and his representatives rejected those offers. The move marks the end of his season‑long stint in Belgium and signals his return to Serie A with Inter Milan.
