Aleksandar Vučić accused in leaked Bosnian intelligence documents

Croatian journalist Domagoj Margetić has published documents allegedly from the internal and secret files of the State Security Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The documents concern the role of Aleksandar Vučić during the Siege of Sarajevo.

A central document dated February 17, 1995, is linked to an operational processing code named ‘Lovac’ (Hunter). The document is attributed to Nedžad Ugljen, who was then the head of the Bosnian State Security Service. According to the published material, Ugljen identified Aleksandar Vučić—who at the time served as the General Secretary of the Serbian Radical Party in Belgrade—as the individual coordinating the arrival of foreign nationals to sniper positions used to target civilians in Sarajevo.

The documents claim that Vučić coordinated the movement of these ‘foreign hunters’ to sniper positions in Grbavica and the Jewish Cemetery. It is further alleged that Vučić crossed borders and moved through territory controlled by Bosnian Serb forces using a Serbian State Security reserve identification card, which was reportedly issued by Frenki Simatović, then deputy director of the Serbian DB.
