Aleksandar Vučić awards 55 state decorations in Serbia

On the occasion of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag Day, President Aleksandar Vučić presented 55 decorations to distinguished individuals and institutions at a ceremony in the Palace of Serbia. The awards recognize exceptional contributions to culture, literature, science, health, defense, and security.

Among the recipients, Luka Čaušić, an assistant minister of internal affairs and head of the Sector for Emergency Situations, was awarded the Order of Merit for Defense and Security of the first degree for his bravery in extinguishing large fires and his service in international missions. Nikola Matović, a firefighter leader from Čačak, received the second-degree Order of Merit for Defense and Security.

In the field of culture and literature, Veselin Đeletović and Nebojša Jevrić were both awarded the second-degree Order of Karađorđe's Star. Additionally, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a grand necklace for strengthening relations between Serbia and Kazakhstan, and Scottish actor Angus Macfadyen received the third-degree Order of the Serbian Flag for his artistic contributions.
