Aleksandar Vulin announces candidacy for Serbian presidency
Aleksandar Vulin, leader of the Socialist Movement, has announced his candidacy for the Serbian presidential election, which is expected to take place in December. Vulin made the announcement during a party gathering titled ‘Serbian World’ on October 5.
Despite his party not being on the ‘United Serbia’ list led by Aleksandar Vučić, Vulin urged his supporters to vote for the ‘Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia’ list in the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25. He framed the political landscape as a clash of two different visions for Serbia.
Vulin’s platform includes advocating for a referendum on Serbia’s membership in the European Union and maintaining a policy of not imposing sanctions on Russia. He emphasized the importance of Serbian sovereignty and criticized pressure from European entities regarding visa policies for Russian and Chinese citizens.
