Aleksander Śliwka suffers foot injury ahead of new season

Aleksander Śliwka, captain of the Polish national volleyball team, has sustained a foot injury. His club, PGE Projekt Warszawa, confirmed that the player is currently unable to train with the team.

The club issued a statement noting that the medical staff identified the issue at an early stage. While the exact severity of the injury is not yet known, the club stated they are monitoring the situation closely and will prioritize his full recovery to avoid risks ahead of the long season.

Śliwka, who recently led Poland to a European Championship title, will miss the start of the Tauron Liga season. PGE Projekt Warszawa is scheduled to face Energa Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in their opening match on October 16.
