Poland reports multiple road accidents and vehicle-related crimes
Poland has seen a series of significant road incidents and criminal activities involving vehicles. In Gliwice, a truck carrying over 200 barrels of chemical waste from phosphorus washing caught fire on the A4 motorway, prompting a response from specialized chemical rescue groups to prevent an ecological disaster.
Criminal matters include a 35-year-old man facing up to 10 years in prison for attempting to steal a tractor worth 400,000 PLN in the Susz commune, and a 26-year-old sentenced to five years for a fatal accident in Wola Solecka where a speeding driver struck a family walking on a roadside.
Various traffic violations and accidents were also reported: a 25-year-old woman in Wyszków led police on a chase after driving intoxicated, resulting in a crash; a 15-year-old in Warsaw was caught riding an unlicensed electric motorcycle; and a tractor driver in Czarków ignored red lights at a railway crossing, damaging a barrier. Other incidents involved a collision between a Honda and a truck in Ostrołęka, a motorcyclist injured in Olsztyn, and a cyclist struck in Żory.
