Aleksandra Szczygłowska misses matches due to health issues

Aleksandra Szczygłowska, the captain and libero of the Polish women's national volleyball team, has missed multiple matches during the European Championship due to health issues. While the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) has maintained medical privacy, it has been clarified that her absence is not due to a sports-related injury. Reports indicate she is suffering from gastrointestinal problems and remains under the supervision of the team's medical staff in Turkey pending test results.

To support the squad during her absence, Klaudia Łyduch will travel to Istanbul to assist the team in training. Despite missing their captain, the Polish team has maintained a perfect record in the group stage, securing victories against Hungary, Latvia, and Slovenia. The team has already guaranteed advancement to the round of 16 and will conclude the group stage with matches against Germany and Turkey.
