Aleksandra Wierzbicka, prominent media producer, dies at 41

Aleksandra Wierzbicka, a prominent media producer, has passed away at the age of 41. She had a long career in sports and news broadcasting, having worked for TVN24 for nine years before moving to Polsat Sport and eventually Eurosport.

Wierzbicka served as a production manager at Eurosport, where she contributed to major international broadcasts, including the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. Colleagues have remembered her for her empathy, professionalism, and positive impact on her teams.

Throughout her career, Wierzbicka battled breast cancer. Following a diagnosis in 2018, she underwent mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries. In 2023, medical professionals detected metastases in her lymph nodes and bones, leading to a public fundraising effort to support her treatment.
