ALEMS advances bills for public utility status and new MPMS positions

The Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul (ALEMS) has advanced several legislative projects. Deputies approved Bill 109/2026, which declares the Associação de Jovens Amigos da Natureza (AJAN), based in Costa Rica, as a state public utility entity. AJAN is a non-profit organization serving approximately 200 children through social, cultural, and sporting activities.

Additionally, the Constitution, Justice, and Redaction Commission (CCJR) approved Bill 107/2026, granting state public utility status to the Associação de Moradores do Conjunto Coopharádio (AMCOORA) in Campo Grande. The commission also reviewed Bill 110/2026, proposed by the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso do Sul (MPMS), which seeks to create new positions for Assistant Juridical Advisor and Junior IT Advisor, while expanding the number of effective and commissioned roles within the agency.
