Alentejo wine and culture festivals announced in Portugal and Brazil

Events celebrating Alentejo wines and culture are taking place in both Portugal and Brazil.

In Portugal, the 8th edition of Alqueva Sunset will be held on October 10 at Amieira Marina in Portel. Organized by the Comissão Vitivinícola Regional Alentejana (CVRA), the event offers participants a sunset experience on the Alqueva Lake featuring regional gastronomy, such as black pork cheek sandwiches and Arraiolos pies, paired with Alentejo wines and musical entertainment.

In Brazil, the 3rd Alentejo Wine Festival will take place on October 16 and 17 at the Consulate General of Portugal in Rio de Janeiro. The festival features various producers, including Esporão, Cartuxa, and Sogrape. The event includes a Wine Bar, a tasting room, and a cooking arena for live demonstrations. It also features the Arena DOC, which offers masterclasses and lectures regarding the Alentejo region and its viticulture.
