ALER renovates Como tower and clears illegal housing occupations in Brescia
ALER, the Lombardy public‑housing agency, completed a major renovation of an existing residential building in central Como. The project removed asbestos from the roof, replaced the 700 m² covering with a ventilated AERcoppo system and upgraded the structure while preserving its historic volume under the supervision of the regional authorities and funding from the Lombardy region.
Separately, ALER’s Brescia‑Cremona‑Mantova division announced that it has eliminated all illegal occupations of its public housing stock, achieving a zero‑occupancy rate. President Amedeo Ghidini highlighted the lengthy, coordinated eviction effort and stressed that the result marks the start of a continued monitoring phase to prevent future abuses and ensure public homes are allocated only to families on the official waiting lists.
