Alerj and Hemorio host public blood donation campaign

The Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), in partnership with Hemorio, is hosting a public blood donation campaign on Tuesday, August 11. The event will take place at the Alerj headquarters in downtown Rio de Janeiro from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Organizers aim to collect enough blood to assist approximately 400 people, noting that a single donation can benefit up to four patients. The collected blood supports treatments for cancer patients, accident victims, and individuals requiring surgery or transfusions. Hemorio will provide the collection infrastructure, supported by Alerj’s Medical Department.
