Alesis, Amazon, and Sonos release new audio technology

The Alesis Nitro Max electronic drum kit is designed for home practice and recording, featuring an eight-piece set with ultra-silent mesh heads. The kit includes a 10-inch double-zone snare, 8-inch toms, a kick drum tower with pedal, and three 10-inch cymbals on a foldable stand. Its module provides Bluetooth and USB-MIDI connectivity, offering over 440 sounds and 32 kits, including BFD-based multi-velocity samples. The package comes with a stool, headphones, and 90 days of lessons.

In the smart speaker market, multiroom audio systems allow for synchronized playback across a home network via apps or voice control. Notable products include the Amazon Echo Dot, which features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integration, and the Echo Dot Max, which utilizes the AZ3 chip for surround sound and enhanced bass. Additionally, the Sonos Era 100 offers stereo sound with dual tweeters and Trueplay room equalization, while the Sonos Play provides a portable, IP67-rated outdoor option with up to 24 hours of battery life.
