Alessandra Ambrosio announces engagement to designer Buck Palmer

Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio has announced her engagement to jewelry designer Buck Palmer. The couple, who have been together for approximately two years, shared the news following a trip to Indonesia, where Palmer proposed on a beach.

Ambrosio showcased the engagement ring on social media, featuring an elongated cushion-cut diamond set in a yellow gold bezel. Jewelry expert Roy Albers, Chief Gemological Officer at Worthy, noted that the north-to-south orientation of the diamond is a modern take on the classic solitaire that helps elongate the finger. Albers estimated the diamond to be between 5 and 7 carats, suggesting a retail value between $125,000 and $185,000, though he noted that Palmer’s profession as a designer likely influenced the final cost.
