Alessandra Campelo named vice‑governor candidate with Omar Aziz in Amazonas

State deputy Alessandra Campelo (PSD) has been chosen as the vice‑governor candidate on the ticket led by former governor Omar Aziz for the upcoming Amazonas gubernatorial election. Campelo brings three consecutive terms in the Amazonas Legislative Assembly, where she has focused on women's rights, social assistance, sport and youth programs, and currently heads the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women at the Assembly. Her public‑service résumé also includes serving as state secretary of Youth, Sport and Leisure, Secretary of Social Assistance and Hunger Combat, and a role in rural production.

Campelo said her experience in both the legislative and executive branches will support Aziz’s project, emphasizing priorities such as health, education, public security, assistance to families, and policies for women and children. The partnership aims to rebuild hope and strengthen key public services in the state.
