Alessandra Caracciolo swims across the Strait of Messina

Athlete Alessandra Caracciolo, representing Po. Di. F. Mirasole Fabriano, successfully completed a swim across the Strait of Messina. The crossing covered nearly four kilometers from Capo Peloro in Sicily to Cannitello in Calabria.

Caracciolo finished the swim in 52 minutes and 22 seconds, competing alongside approximately thirty able-bodied athletes. She described the experience as a great satisfaction, noting that while the currents were difficult at the start, the central part of the crossing was particularly beautiful due to the intense blue of the water.

The achievement serves as the highlight of a successful competitive season for the S10 class athlete, which included multiple bronze medals at the Italian Absolute Short Course Championships and gold medals at the Italian Master Championships.
