Charlotte Heath wins La Sella Open in Spain

Charlotte Heath secured her maiden Ladies European Tour title at the La Sella Open in Dénia, Spain. Despite severe weather, including thunder and lightning, which forced officials to reduce the tournament from 72 to 54 holes, Heath finished with a total of 10-under-par.

Heath held off a strong challenge from Alessandra Fanali and Alice Hewson, who both finished in a tie for second place at 8-under-par. Fanali, an Italian golfer, posted a final-round 68 to climb the leaderboard, while Hewson secured her position with a birdie on the final hole.

The tournament saw various notable performances, including a strong charge from Germany’s Helen Briem, who briefly held a share of the lead before finishing fifth. Other top finishers included Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall in fourth and Slovenia’s Pia Babnik in fifth.
