Alessandra Necci returns to lead Gallerie Estensi

Alessandra Necci is returning to lead the Gallerie Estensi in Modena on a full-time basis, leaving her position as director of the Palazzo Reale di Napoli. Necci had been serving at the Naples site since February, while simultaneously maintaining her responsibilities for the Gallerie di Modena and Sassuolo.

In Naples, Almerinda Padricelli, director of the Musei Nazionali del Vomero, has been delegated to manage the Palazzo Reale while a selection process for a new permanent director is conducted. The Ministry of Culture facilitated this transition.

Necci’s return to Modena is expected to focus on the 2027 cultural program, which includes new exhibitions, institutional collaborations, and commemorative events for the twentieth anniversary of Luciano Pavarotti’s death.
