Alessandra Verni seeks dialogue with parents of Pamela Mastropietro's killer

Alessandra Verni, the mother of Pamela Mastropietro, has issued an open letter to the parents of Innocent Oseghale, the man sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2018 murder and sexual assault of her daughter in Macerata.

Verni expressed her desire for a direct dialogue with the parents of the perpetrator, seeking a human connection and the truth. She noted that a previous attempt to find answers during a prison visit a year ago resulted only in silence and indifference from Oseghale. Verni stated, “I met him in his cell, he did not repent for killing my daughter,” and emphasized that he has shown no remorse or willingness to reveal if there were accomplices involved in the crime.

As the eighth anniversary of the murder approaches, Verni continues her pursuit of justice and clarity regarding the events of January 30, 2018, appealing to the shared bond of parenthood to facilitate a conversation.
