Speaking on the program Hoy Día by Telemundo, Villegas addressed comments about how the age gap might affect them in later decades, stating she will address those concerns when the time comes.

Villegas emphasized that her attraction to Sarcos is based on his intelligence and security rather than physical appearance alone. She also addressed allegations that younger women in relationships with older men are motivated solely by financial gain, arguing that relationships involve mutual interests and that such interests do not invalidate genuine feelings.

The couple has been together for approximately 15 years and has a son, Daniel Alejandro, born in February 2019.
