Alessandria: Lost chihuahua found after traveling alone on a train
Camilla, a ten-year-old chihuahua from Valmadonna, experienced an unusual adventure after escaping her home during a thunderstorm. Seeking shelter from the rain and thunder, the dog boarded a train traveling to Alessandria, a route she had previously traveled with her owner.
After arriving at the Alessandria station, the dog disembarked and was eventually spotted by a train conductor. The Alessandria Railway Police (Polfer) took custody of the animal. Although Camilla was microchipped, veterinary services were unable to read the device, delaying the identification of her owners.
To ensure the elderly dog's comfort, the manager of the Alessandria Railway Police hosted Camilla at his home overnight. The situation concluded with the dog being reunited with her family.
