Alessandria: Political restructuring and new hospital project progress

Political and infrastructural developments are underway in the Alessandria province. The Azione party has announced a restructuring of its provincial organization to prepare for upcoming administrative elections in Alessandria and Acqui Terme, as well as the 2027 general elections. Provincial Secretary Giovanni Barosini has appointed six new officials to lead thematic groups focusing on healthcare, transport, security, social welfare, and public heritage.

Simultaneously, the project for a new hospital in Alessandria has entered an operational phase. Fourteen bids have been submitted for the technical-economic feasibility study. Regional Councilor Davide Buzzi Langhi of Forza Italia noted that the project has moved beyond intention into active planning. The IRCCS Azienda ospedaliero-universitaria di Alessandria has established a working group to monitor the process, with the goal of formalizing a commission to evaluate proposals by the end of September.
