Alessandria to host “Sorella Medicina” concert for medical research
The “Sorella Medicina – Per tutte le sue creature” narrated concert will take place on Friday, October 9, at the Church of Sant’Alessandro in Alessandria. Performed by the P. Voices choir, the event is part of the Medical Humanities Festival organized by the Centro Studi Cura e Comunità of the IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Alessandria.
Inspired by the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi and the “Cantico delle Creature,” the performance combines choral music and spoken narration to explore the human dimension of healthcare and the concept of a “caring community.” The event features participation from Father Lorenzo Tarletti and is supported by the Municipality of Alessandria, the Associazione Tra Cuore e Mente APS, and the Associazione Oviglio Arte ODV.
All proceeds from the free-will offerings will be donated to “Solidal per la Ricerca” to fund scientific research projects focused on the humanization of care and the field of Medical Humanities.
