Alessandro Bastoni leads Italy to 4-1 victory over Turkey

Alessandro Bastoni has played a key role in Italy's 4-1 victory against Turkey, marking a significant performance for the Inter Milan defender following a difficult period with the national team.

This match serves as a moment of redemption for Bastoni, who has struggled with the aftermath of Italy's failure to qualify for the World Cup, specifically citing a previous red card incident in Zenica, Bosnia. During the match against Turkey, Bastoni scored an early goal in the 9th minute and provided a strong defensive performance.

Reflecting on the past, Bastoni stated, “Every time I come to the National Team, it is inevitable to remember that defeat. I feel in debt to the Italians and I will be for the next four years, then I hope... to recover.” He also called for patience and balance for the squad, noting the challenges of facing social media criticism while emphasizing the team's desire to move forward.
