Alessandro Conforto dies at age 6 after battle with brain tumor

Six-year-old Alessandro Conforto has passed away at a pediatric hospice in Padova following a two-year battle against a brain tumor. Alessandro lived in Arquà Petrarca with his parents, Maria and Emiliano, and his sister, Gloria.

After his initial diagnosis two years ago, Alessandro underwent intensive treatments, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. While there was a period of hope where the treatments appeared to be effective, medical exams in January revealed that the tumor had returned. His condition progressively worsened in the following months until his death on Tuesday, August 18.

The family has chosen to honor his memory with a smiling photograph and a poetic tribute: ‘I am sure there is an angel with me, walking beside me mild, gentle and white’. Funeral services are scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 22, at the San Giacomo parish church in Monselice.
