On the night of 23 July 2026, a violent family dispute unfolded in Margine Rosso, a district of Quartu, Sardinia. Alessandro Pintus, 39, shot his older brother Andrea Pintus, 42, three times with a 7.65 mm pistol, killing him instantly in the family courtyard.

Earlier that same day, Alessandro had shot his wife, Michela Rubiu, 47, in the head at their bar in Solanas, leaving her in critical condition at Cagliari’s Brotzu Hospital. Police investigators are reviewing witness statements and electronic evidence to reconstruct the sequence of events.
