Alessandro Foglietta Resigns After Decades of Service in Supino Council

Alessandro Foglietta, a veteran of the right‑wing in Ciociaria, formally stepped down from his seat as opposition councillor in Supino during the council meeting on 30 July 2026. His resignation ends a political career that spans more than four decades, including roles as mayor of Supino, regional councillor, euro‑parliamentarian and provincial leader of Alleanza Nazionale. Foglietta announced that he is not leaving politics, stating “non lascio la politica, resto in FdI,” and will instead work behind the scenes to train new leaders and help select the next mayoral candidate for Supino.
