Alessia Zecchini performs symbolic dive for Gaza children in Milazzo

World champion freediver Alessia Zecchini performed a symbolic dive in the waters of Milazzo, Italy, to represent the hopes and dreams of 117 children evacuated from Gaza. The children, who are currently being supported by the Banna Al Khayri Foundation in Bologna, wrote their messages and aspirations directly onto Zecchini’s wetsuit before her descent.

Joining her in the dive was activist Sebastian Colnaghi. The initiative is part of the #LetChildrenPlay project, promoted by Rising Dreams in collaboration with Kites4Palestine during the Global Gaza Kite Weekend. The event aimed to use sport as a medium for solidarity, highlighting the children's right to dream and ensuring their voices are heard beyond the water.
