Alessio Boni to headline events at Teatro della Nike in Giardini Naxos

Actor Alessio Boni will headline two central events for the sixth edition of the “Interpretare l’Antico” festival at the Teatro della Nike in Giardini Naxos on September 12.

The day begins at 6:00 AM with “Katabasis,” a theatrical performance based on the sixth book of Virgil’s Aeneid. Directed and dramatized by Boni, the production features live music by Franca Bongiovanni and depicts Aeneas’s descent into the underworld.

In the evening at 8:30 PM, the program continues with a presentation of the film “Don Chisciotte,” featuring the director and lead actor. The festival, organized by Rete Latitudini with support from the Parco archeologico di Naxos Taormina, aims to connect classical myths with contemporary creative expression.
