Atalanta caps pre‑season retreat with 3‑2 comeback win over Arezzo and Sarri fined by FIGC
Atalanta concluded its pre‑season retreat in Zingonia with a 3‑2 comeback victory against Arezzo. After trailing at halftime, the Bergamasca side turned the match around in the second half, with goals from Sulemana, Ederson and Krstović securing the win.
Coach Maurizio Sarri, who led the team during the camp, was later fined €2,000 by the Italian Football Federation for past comments criticizing the Serie A calendar. The sanction stems from statements he made while at Lazio.
The club also announced its upcoming European friendlies: a match in the Netherlands against Feyenoord on 2 August and a game in Germany versus Schalke 04 on 8 August, both part of the final preparations for the new Serie A season and the UEFA Conference League.
