Alessio Foconi reflects on career and Los Angeles 2028

Olympic silver medalist Alessio Foconi recently participated in the ‘Italiani di qualità’ event held at the Circolo Scherma Terni. During the meeting, the elite fencer reflected on his thirty-year relationship with the Terni fencing club, which he described as a home and a central part of his personal and professional life.

Foconi discussed his journey through international successes, including five world titles in individual and team foil and three European titles. Following his silver medal achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympics, he confirmed that his sights are already set on the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

In addition to his athletic career, Foconi shared his perspective on local sports, expressing support for the Ternana football club and the importance of rebuilding through dedication and incremental goals.
