Alevi-Bektaşi leaders meet in Ankara to discuss cemevi roadmap

Alevi-Bektaşi religious leaders held a consultation meeting in Ankara to discuss the future of cemevis and dergahs. Organized by the Alevi-Bektaşi Culture and Cemevi Presidency, the gathering included 200 leaders from across Turkey. The discussions focused on the needs of these religious spaces, ensuring service continuity, and preserving cultural values for future generations. Officials stated that all suggestions and criticisms would be documented and reported to the President and the Ministry to establish a roadmap for addressing institutional needs.

In a separate development, a delegation from the 12 İmamlar Alevi-Bektaşi Öğreti Derneği, representing regions in Antalya and Burdur, met with BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici at the party headquarters. The delegation expressed support for the BBP, emphasizing their goal of strengthening the culture of coexistence and eliminating divisions between Alevi and Sunni citizens. During the meeting, Destici addressed national unity and discussed economic concerns, including the need to improve pension levels, support farmers, and adjust the tax system to alleviate the burden on low-income citizens.
