Turkey's Culture Minister chairs first Alevi-Bektashi Advisory Board meeting
Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, chaired the first meeting of the Advisory Board for the Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi Presidency. The meeting brought together board members and community leaders to discuss the needs of cemevis and strengthen the connection with Alevi-Bektashi citizens.
Minister Ersoy emphasized that the board's field experience and suggestions will guide the Presidency's future planning and services. He stated that the administration's responsibility is to listen to citizens' demands directly and reflect them in their work. The Presidency, established in November 2022, continues to conduct scientific and cultural activities to research and preserve Alevi-Bektashi culture both within Turkey and abroad.
