Alex Cooper responds to Dave Portnoy’s Barstool Sports allegations

Podcast host and Unwell founder Alex Cooper has addressed allegations made by Dave Portnoy regarding her departure from Barstool Sports. During an appearance on CNBC, Cooper responded to claims from Portnoy’s June memoir, ‘Cancel Me If You Can’, which suggested she threatened to fabricate sexual harassment allegations to exit her contract.

Cooper stated, ‘That’s not how I remember that at all,’ while noting she has a ‘great and complicated relationship’ with Portnoy, whom she credited for her start in the industry. She declined to provide a detailed counter-narrative, stating she is focused on business and her personal life.

Cooper’s comments come as her podcast network, Unwell, reportedly reached a $500 million valuation following recent investment.
