Alex Eala and Andre Ilagan to compete at US Open

Filipino tennis players Alex Eala and Andre Ilagan are set to compete at the 2026 US Open in New York.

Alex Eala enters the tournament following a strong North American hard-court season, which included winning her first WTA singles title in Washington and reaching the Round of 16 at the Canadian Open. She recently achieved a career-high live ranking of No. 18. In addition to her singles campaign, Eala will compete in the mixed doubles championship alongside Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Andre Ilagan, a Filipino American from Honolulu, has received a wild-card entry into the US Open qualifying draw. The 25-year-old recently reached back-to-back ATP Challenger finals at the Lexington Open and the Indiana Hardcourt Championships, helping him reach a career-high world ranking of No. 210.
