Alex Fernández hospitalized, cancels Culiacán concert

Mexican singer Alex Fernández was hospitalized following a medical emergency during a private flight from Las Vegas to Culiacán, Sinaloa. The incident forced the cancellation of his scheduled headline performance for the Independence Day (Grito de Independencia) celebrations at the Government Palace esplanade.

During the flight, Fernández experienced sudden health complications, prompting the aircraft to divert to Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he was rushed to a hospital. While initial reports listed his condition as having a ‘reserved prognosis,’ subsequent updates indicated he is recovering from a diagnosed respiratory and gastrointestinal infection.

To maintain the event's musical program, singer Carolina Ross was brought in as a substitute. Fernández’s management team expressed their intention to reschedule the Culiacán performance once his health permits.
