Alex Garcia climbs to 7th place after comeback at European U23 XCO championship

Spanish rider Alex García recovered from a fall at the start of the European U23 XCO race in Monteceneri to finish seventh, four seconds off sixth place and matching the time of France's Lucas Teste. His performance was the best result for Spain on the day, complementing a strong showing in the team relay earlier in the competition.

The race was won by France's Alix Andre Gallis, who surprised pre‑event favorites. Spain's squad was missing Thibaut François, who withdrew with stomach problems, leaving García and teammate Hugo Franco as the only Spanish competitors; Franco placed 15th.
