Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney has directed a 235-minute biographical documentary titled ‘Musk’, which explores the life and global influence of tech billionaire Elon Musk. The film examines his leadership of companies including Tesla, SpaceX, and X, and features interviews with individuals close to him, such as his ex-wife Justine Musk and his father Errol Musk.

Distributed by Bleecker Street in the United States with an October 9 theatrical debut, the documentary is also slated for streaming on Max via HBO Documentary Films. The film addresses controversial topics such as Tesla Autopilot and the extent of Musk's unprecedented power.

Reports indicate the film has faced challenges regarding distribution and advertising. Bleecker Street reportedly encountered difficulties running paid advertisements on several social media platforms, including YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and X, with some platforms initially flagging the content as ‘political content.’
