Alex Henry Foster announces new album 'The Fragile Beauty

Canadian musician Alex Henry Foster has announced his new album, ‘The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes)’, recorded with his band The Long Shadows. This marks his first return to recording as a performer following life-threatening heart surgery in 2023, during which he experienced multiple cardiac arrests and a temporary loss of his voice.

The album is the first of five interconnected musical acts exploring themes of grief, loss, and rebirth. Musically, the project moves beyond traditional rock to incorporate cinematic soundscapes and spiritual, psychedelic improvisations. The artist noted that Tangier, Morocco, served as a spiritual anchor during his recovery and influenced the record’s themes of displacement and renewal.
