Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey drive Fulham success

Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has received significant praise from pundits and former players for his versatility and technical ability in the Premier League. Analysts have highlighted his capacity to transition between box-to-box duties, creative playmaking, and wide attacking roles, making him a central figure in manager Marco Silva’s tactical setup.

In a recent Premier League fixture at Craven Cottage, Iwobi scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Hull City. He was supported by defender Calvin Bassey, who anchored the defense to secure a clean sheet despite Fulham being reduced to ten men following a late red card for Ryan Sessegnon.

The strong performances of the two Nigerian internationals are seen as a major boost for the Super Eagles ahead of upcoming international windows and continental qualifiers. While Iwobi provides creative vision and tempo control, Bassey has established himself as a reliable central defender through physical dominance and composure on the ball.
