Alex Jones marks 20th anniversary of BBC's The One Show

The BBC's flagship evening programme The One Show is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a week of special episodes featuring celebrity guests, memorable reunions and surprise moments. Long‑time presenter Alex Jones, who has fronted the show since 2010 and is now its longest‑running host, reflected on the milestone, saying she is proud to still be part of a programme that "has withstood many changes in trends" and remains strong in the ratings.

Jones recalled her first guest, actress Whoopi Goldberg, and expressed a wish to welcome the Prince and Princess of Wales on the show. The anniversary celebrations begin on 14 August and will run throughout the week, highlighting the programme's enduring popularity on BBC One and iPlayer.
