Alex North’s thriller ‘Der Kinderflüsterer’ reviewed

Alex North’s suspense thriller, ‘Der Kinderflüsterer’ (originally titled ‘The Whisper Man’), follows a complex narrative involving a disappearance in the town of Featherbank. The story centers on the disappearance of six-year-old Neil Spencer and connects to a cold case from twenty years prior involving the disappearance of five boys.

The plot involves DCI Colin Lyons and former investigator DI Pete Willis, who is haunted by his inability to find a victim from the previous decades. The narrative also explores a father-son dynamic as a writer and his young son move to a house known locally as the ‘spukhaus’ (haunted house), leading to further unsettling events and police involvement.
