Alex Poatan challenges Valter Walker to sparring match with purse wager

Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira has escalated his rivalry with fellow Brazilian fighter Valter Walker by issuing a bold sparring challenge. Pereira claims that after Walker publicly suggested the matchup would favor his fighting style, Pereira invited him to a training session, which Walker reportedly declined out of fear.

To incentivize the heavyweight Walker, Pereira proposed a wager: if Walker can outperform him during a sparring session, Pereira will personally pay an amount equivalent to Walker’s entire purse from his last UFC appearance. Pereira mocked the situation, stating, “He ran and stayed afraid.”

While the rivalry continues on social media, Pereira’s official professional schedule is already set. He is slated to face Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335 on December 12 in Las Vegas.
