Dinamo striker Alex Pop is reportedly close to leaving the Romanian club to join the Israeli side Kiryat Shmona. The transfer follows Dinamo's recent derby match against FCSB.

Pop, who joined Dinamo from Oțelul Galați in early 2025, has seen his playing time diminish following the arrival of Dean Zandbergen. He currently sits fifth in the attacking rotation behind Mamadou Karamoko, George Pușcaș, and Oliver Hintsa. Kiryat Shmona, currently 7th in the Israeli league, is seeking a replacement for Adrian Ugarizza, who recently transferred to Hapoel Beer Sheva.

During his time with Dinamo, Pop has made nine appearances, recording one goal and one assist. His tenure was previously marked by controversy when he missed a crucial playoff match against FCSB to attend his wedding.
