Alex Ruzzi's psychological thriller Photogame premieres in Italy
The psychological thriller “Photogame: autoritratto di un’ossessione,” directed by Alex Ruzzi, was released in theaters on October 1, 2026. Distributed by L’AltroFilm, the film was shot in Biella and Venice.
The story follows Luca, a successful textile entrepreneur who attempts to reconnect with his youth by opening a fashion atelier. His life becomes increasingly unstable following the return of a former flame, Countess Lucrezia, and his discovery of “Photogame,” an artificial intelligence-based application. The app facilitates a dangerous game involving photographers and models that challenges Luca’s integrity and family stability.
Director Alex Ruzzi describes the film as an immersion into the fragility of being in an era where identity is commodified and human value is often measured through wealth and image.
