Alex Singleton fined $17,911 for helmet-to-helmet hit

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton has been fined $17,911 by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange. The play resulted in a half-the-distance penalty during a Week 2 matchup.

This marks Singleton’s second fine of the 2026 season, following a $11,941 fine for a late hit in Week 1. Under an agreement between the league and the NFL Players Association, a player who accumulates three unnecessary roughness violations in a single campaign faces a one-game suspension.
