Alex Warren releases new single “Rescuer”

American pop singer Alex Warren has issued his new single “Rescuer,” the lead track from his forthcoming album WILDCHILD, scheduled for release on 28 August. The song is a tribute to his wife, Kouvr Annon Warren, who he says rescued him during a low point in his life. The accompanying video is set at a 17th‑century “Baroque Ball,” with Kouvr co‑starring; a scene shows a man assaulting Warren, stealing his car, and leaving him bruised before the couple reunites.

The track echoes Warren’s earlier hit “Ordinary” and reflects personal hardships after his father’s death, including a period of homelessness. WILDCHILD will contain 13 songs that explore grief, love and healing, and even incorporates recordings of his late father’s voice. The single is released through Atlantic Records under the “Wildchild” moniker.
