Alexander Bublik and Venus Williams to partner for 2026 US Open mixed doubles

Alexander Bublik and Venus Williams are set to compete as a mixed doubles pair at the 2026 US Open. The partnership was arranged by their respective agents, with Bublik admitting that the two players have had almost no direct contact and barely know each other.

Bublik, ranked No. 11 in the ATP, noted that he accepted the proposal after his agent approached him during Wimbledon. The pairing is part of a revamped US Open mixed doubles format designed to attract top-tier singles players. Other notable entries in the field include Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic, as well as Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 24–26, 2026, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
