Alexander Dugin warns of inevitable conflict with the West

Russian philosopher and political theorist Alexander Dugin has proposed a massive relocation of the Russian population from major metropolitan areas to rural regions as a survival strategy. Dugin suggests that a military conflict with the West is ‘almost inevitable’ and that the risk of nuclear escalation is ‘very probable.’

He argues that large cities, including Moscow and Saint Petersburg, could become primary targets in a nuclear exchange. By moving citizens to villages and rural localities, Dugin claims the population could better withstand the consequences of such a confrontation. His rhetoric aligns with his long-standing promotion of the ‘Russian World’ ideology, which advocates for expanded Russian influence in former Soviet territories and views the West as a historical adversary.
