Alexander Herrmann announces restructuring of Posthotel in Wirsberg

Entrepreneur Alexander Herrmann has announced a multi-stage restructuring of the Posthotel Alexander Herrmann in Wirsberg. The strategic goal is to establish the region as an international culinary destination by 2032.

The transformation begins with significant changes to the hotel's dining offerings. In February 2027, a new fine-dining concept titled ‘AURA unchained 172’ will launch, operating for only 172 evenings per year across four seasonal phases. Additionally, the existing bistro ‘oma & enkel’ will transition into a Franconian tavern on November 30, 2026.

Under the motto ‘#grenzenloseHEIMAT’ (limitless home), the culinary direction led by Tobias Bätz focuses on regionality. The hotel utilizes its ‘Future Lab ANIMA’ to ferment and refine products from approximately 100 local Franconian producers. While Bätz maintains culinary leadership for the restaurants, Herrmann will focus on strategic development and marketing Upper Franconia as a premier gastronomic travel destination through partnerships with tourism institutions and investors.
